Nothing is more important than a first impression. Professional Headshots and Executive Portraits many times are the first impression a potential client has of you and your business. What does your business portrait say about you? Let us help you create professional headshots that will communicate your personal brand and image. For your convenience our corporate photography can be done at your location or in the studio

The 3 Basic Types of Headshots.
The Modern Classic Headshot
These headshots are classic yet have modern lighting and backgrounds. These are not your eighth grade school pictures.
Environmental Headshots
Combining the look of the environmental executive portrait and the economy of the business headshot, Environmental headshot’s, utilize your office (or other location) as a backdrop for your company’s headshot’s.
Environmental Portraits
These are different from headshots as they are environmental portraits. The backgrounds are appropriate to your business or your unique brand, the collection can include head and shoulders, 3/4 and full body lengths. We will spend our time shooting in a variety of locations with different poses and expressions, as your needs and schedule dictate.
Our Philosophy
To us, professional headshots are more than just a photo of your face. A headshot is your brand, your personality, and often your first impression to important people. It should communicate key characteristics about you without the use of words. It should capture an expression of confidence, approachability, and trustworthiness with a high quality photograph that will make people want to meet you and work with you. The quality of your portrait and how you appear in it will directly impact how people perceive you before they even meet you, so don’t settle for a quick snapshot in bad lighting; give your best first impression with good professional headshots.

How to have a Great Professional Headshot Session
The 2 greatest impacts on your session are the following:
1. Sleep!
It’s no secret that a good night sleep will help you look healthy and refreshed and prevent those dark circles and bags under your eyes. The number one thing we see people most critical about in their own headshot are the bags under their eyes, so we recommend getting plenty of sleep the one or two nights leading up to your headshot session.
If for some reason you didn’t get much sleep and you do have bags under your eyes, applying a cold compress to the area will help reduce the swelling. If you booked our makeup artist, the makeup will help reduce the appearance of swelling or darkness, and we can further reduce it in retouching, but this shouldn’t be a substitute for getting plenty of sleep.
2. WASH, CUT, TRIM, SHAVE
Wash your face before the session to remove dirt and oil from your skin and to reduce shine.
If you have dry skin, apply moisturizer the night before your session to give it time to absorb. Do not apply face lotion the day of your session – it will make your face shiny under the lights.
Acne or other skin conditions can be removed or reduced in retouching or with makeup.
A fresh hair cut is key to looking sharp; however, if you get it cut the same day as your headshot session, remember to rinse your hair and wash your face and neck so you do not have small pieces of hair on your face, neck, and ears.
Trim your ear, nose, and eyebrow hairs if needed.
If you shave daily, we recommend shaving within 4 hours of your session, before that 5 o’clock shadow starts to appear. You may want to book a morning session or bring your razor with you and shave at our studio. If you have a beard, make sure it’s neatly trimmed. If you have razor cuts or irritation, these can be removed in retouching.
We highly recommend smiling for your headshots. The action of smiling will show confidence and openness to both your customers and co-workers.
A good headshot should show you in a flattering manner and setting. By using strategic lighting and the proper background you can have a headshot that displays you in the best manner possible.
Makeup in moderation should be worn for headshots. You do want to avoid heavily oiled types of makeup as they will usually cause unwanted shiny spots on your face. We recommend powder-based makeup for best results
Our executive headshot sessions start about 200 per session. We have the ability to do group headshots for a company with a group rate based on the number of individuals needed.
A professional photographer has spent many years learning how the use of the proper background and proper lighting can make the difference between a mediocre headshot and one that brings out the best in you.
As most headshots are used in the corporate world, the accepted norm is to wear subdued tomes that do not detract from you. Any color can be used in moderation and with the complementary application of lighting. Should you smile for a headshot?
